Stein G. Stansy v meditacii

Author Stein G.
Title Stansy v meditacii
Description “Stanzas in Meditation,” like other works by Gertrude Stein (1874–1946), is characterised by radical innovation based on linguistic play, particularly the repetition of the same word or phrase, homonyms, homophones, polysemy, and rhymes which, together with unexpected enjambments, radically alter the meaning of the preceding statement. With the exception of periods, “Stanzas” contains no punctuation marks. Gertrude Stein remarked, “Why put a question mark when it is already clear that it is a question?” For Stein, writing is a process of constant beginning, a beginning in which “everything is almost alike, it has to be different and it is different, naturally everything is used and there is a continued present and beginning again and again, if everything is so alike it has to just be different and everything just different was the natural way of creating then.”
